Dimensions: At least 1,200 pixels wide
We recommend ~150 pixels high for a 'Header' image
💡 : Your 'About Section' doesn't have to be called 'About'!
Change Content Section Headers: Campaign Settings > Images & Display > Change Section Labels
Your campaign About Section should not be an afterthought! The About Section should stay mostly static for your campaign and will be seen by all segments of your audience. In fact, writing this piece of copy first can create a helpful backbone message for the rest of your content. Keep it brief, make the goals and impact clear, and encourage folks to help.
- Start with some background: Share why this campaign is important and why it’s relevant right now. Make it engaging and appropriate for your audience, grabbing the attention to ensure they read further.
- Ex: We don't have to tell you that this school year is starting like no other as COVID19 continues to create new and persistent challenges on campus and beyond. This new normal is hard. But we find comfort in knowing that we are tackling this together, as a community. Our commitment to you is to approach this school year with strength, purpose, and care, and to seek joy and laughter in every challenging moment. Whether we are near or far, we know things are better when we're together.
- Announce Your Goal & Make the Ask: Don’t bury this too far down! Make it really clear what you need from your audience.
- Ex: As we settle into the spring semester, we ask our community to join together in supporting the school, our deserving students, and our dedicated faculty and staff. Our goal is to reach 200 donors before March 26 at midnight. If we reach our goal, a generous donor will give an additional $25,000 to support the urgent financial aid needs of our students. Join us today with a gift of any size to a campus cause of your choice, or make a small, monthly gift to provide sustained support to our school
Follow these steps to include a video in your update:
- Upload the video file using the "Add Video" button
- Wait 5-10 minutes for the video to process, and then refresh the page.
- Once the video is processed, you will be able to insert the video in the editor by clicking the "Insert Video" button below the video
💡 Tip: Follow this step-by-step walkthrough guide for uploading video updates.
The simple version: you need to wait until the video is fully processed and loaded before clicking “Insert Video.” This can take several minutes for larger videos and will display a slightly scary “video does not exist” error message from Vimeo along the way, as our servers try to access the still-processing video. Don’t worry - just be patient.
